About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Answer recurring business questions across GTM, People, Product, and Engineering using SQL, Python, and AI tooling
Build small internal tools, including vibe-coded apps, Slack bots, scripts, lightweight dashboards, and AI skills
Partner with stakeholders to determine requirements before building solutions
Maintain and improve data pipelines to ensure trustworthy underlying data
Evaluate new AI tools and workflows and determine which to adopt internally
Document tools and workflows so others can operate them independently
Identify data quality issues and inconsistent definitions before they affect decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years in a data analyst, analytics engineer, or BI role, with real SQL and Python fluency
Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar to build a script, agent, or automation
Builder's instinct for automating recurring manual processes
Ability to turn vague stakeholder requests into specific, well-scoped answers
Clear written communication for explaining findings or tools to non-technical audiences
Experience at a startup where the data stack and tooling were still being built
Exposure to building or prompting AI agents/workflows
Familiarity with modern BI/data tools such as dbt, Looker, Hex, or similar
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Willingness to work 4 days a week onsite in the San Francisco office
