About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support customer meetings, business reviews, and account planning activities
- Develop relationships with healthcare decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Learn customer organizational structures, purchasing processes, and market dynamics
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience across interactions
- Manage assigned sales activities under the guidance of sales leadership and mentors
- Maintain customer and opportunity information within CRM platforms
- Participate in pipeline reviews, forecasting discussions, and business planning
- Support opportunity identification, qualification, and growth initiatives
- Learn and leverage healthcare reimbursement, distribution, supply chain, procedural, and GPO dynamics
- Understand financial drivers impacting customers and Owens & Minor
- Analyze customer opportunities and develop solution-oriented recommendations
- Use data and analytics to support sales execution and decision-making
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Clinical, and Commercial Operations teams
- Support implementation of customer solutions and growth initiatives
- Participate in regional meetings, sales events, and development programs
- Execute sales growth objectives through effective opportunity and pipeline management
- Own territory and account planning for growth and margin levers
- Conduct discovery and business conversations to present and implement growth at accounts
- Report directly to the Area Sales Director of the assigned role
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree within the last 0–3 years in business, healthcare, or a related field
- Demonstrated leadership through internships, athletics, organizations, military service, or work experience
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong business acumen and learning ability
- Ability to travel within assigned geography
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred: internship or work experience in sales, healthcare, business development, customer service, or account management
- Preferred: experience presenting, leading projects, or influencing others
- Preferred: familiarity with CRM or business technology platforms
