About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform environmental compliance and testing services for the gasoline service station industry
  • Conduct underground storage tank and piping tightness testing
  • Perform leak detector testing and Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) certification
  • Conduct Stage I & II vapor recovery testing and cathodic protection testing
  • Perform secondary containment testing and third-party facility operations inspections
  • Complete containment sump repairs and minor maintenance on fuel system equipment
  • Perform gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning
  • Travel daily throughout Northeast Indiana and surrounding areas
  • Prepare sites for testing and inspection activities
  • Set up testing and safety equipment
  • Remove manhole lids to access underground storage tanks
  • Perform precision testing, inspections, calibrations, and certifications
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate specialized testing equipment
  • Complete required documentation using tablets and other mobile technology
  • Drive a DOT-registered commercial motor vehicle to customer locations
  • Work safely while following company and regulatory procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools
  • Experience in construction, automotive, maintenance, industrial, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fuel systems, military, or other skilled trades is highly preferred
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding, hands-on work in outdoor environments
  • Basic technology skills, including the ability to use a tablet, smartphone, and computer for documentation and reporting
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with customers and team members
  • Ability to lift 10–50 lbs. and frequently kneel, bend, reach, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of applicable safety practices and regulatory requirements is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen and maintain a clean driving record
  • Candidates must live within 60 minutes of Fort Wayne, IN
  • Must be able to drive a DOT-registered commercial motor vehicle
