About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete certification training on supported equipment
Unpack point-of-sale equipment and set equipment up for loading
Load application software into equipment based on customer configuration information
Verify application software versions on peripheral equipment and reload correct versions and required patches when necessary
Load customer database files into point-of-sale equipment
Verify communications between point-of-sale equipment and peripherals
Register point-of-sale equipment and software on the vendor website
Repack equipment and peripherals prior to shipment
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic knowledge of networking (i.e., program IP addresses, Subnet Masks, and Gateways)
Experience in PC troubleshooting
Ability to diagnose PC hardware related problems remotely and confer this information to employees and customers
Background in video surveillance, networking, or computer repair is a plus
Prefer the ability to set up and program CCTV DVRs, HVRs, and NDVRs
Prefer the ability to set up and configure various types of analog and IP based cameras
Prefer the ability to troubleshoot connection issues, focusing, and lens configuration of analog and IP based cameras
Ability to talk or hear regularly and use hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
Lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required
