About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from job scoping and intake through outreach, screening, interviews, talent evaluation, references, background checks, and offers
  • Partner with hiring managers to create recruitment plans, timelines, and equitable structured selection processes
  • Coach hiring teams on inclusive recruitment and use of SmartRecruiters ATS
  • Create transparent job advertisements for targeted career and social media platforms
  • Build and monitor talent pipelines and maintain an equitable candidate experience
  • Develop relationships with professional networks, agencies, universities, community organizations, and outreach partners
  • Represent Oxfam America at virtual and in-person career events
  • Design talent analytics and report metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, acceptance, and retention rates
  • Facilitate consistent onboarding and biweekly new employee orientation
  • Develop role-specific onboarding with hiring managers and internal partners
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics across Human Resources, hiring departments, Finance, and Technology and Information Management
  • Ensure completion of Form I-9, E-Verify, tax forms, policy acknowledgments, and other employment documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee information in HR systems
  • Ensure employees receive required equipment, access, and support
  • Gather feedback to improve onboarding
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, tracking, and management of intern, fellow, and volunteer programs
  • Establish assignments, learning objectives, supervision expectations, and timelines with managers
  • Develop outreach strategies for universities and diverse constituencies
  • Maintain program documentation and support labor-law and educational-agreement compliance
  • Monitor participation and outcomes and recommend improvements
  • Maintain recruitment analytics and information in SmartRecruiters, Unit4 Business World, ADP Workforce Now, and other systems
  • Maintain recruitment tools, templates, process guides, and standard operating procedures
  • Analyze recruitment and onboarding data to identify trends, barriers, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Partner with HR colleagues to improve efficiency and efficacy while preserving candidate and employee connection
  • Perform other duties reasonably related to the position

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment operations, onboarding, or a related human resources function
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment across individual contributor, manager, and executive roles
  • Strong business acumen to advise hiring managers
  • Experience coordinating onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws affecting recruitment and onboarding
  • Experience as a thought partner to executives and key decision makers
  • Experience using applicant tracking and human resources information systems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple recruitments, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Cultural humility and ability to work effectively across functions, identities, backgrounds, and cultures
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Preferred: experience with SmartRecruiters, Unit4 Business World, or ADP Workforce Now
  • Preferred: experience in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or globally distributed organization
  • Preferred: experience building diverse candidate pipelines and advancing inclusive hiring practices
  • Preferred: experience coordinating intern, student, or volunteer programs
  • Preferred: HR or recruiting certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, AIRS, or equivalent credential
  • Satisfactory references and appropriate pre-employment checks required
  • Must comply with U.S. employment documentation requirements, including Form I-9 and E-Verify
