About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate and troubleshoot GKE and Kubernetes clusters, including node health, networking, and application deployments
Provision and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible
Build and improve Helm charts, Argo CD ApplicationSets, and GitHub Actions workflows
Investigate incidents using logs, metrics, and health checks
Execute safe changes with validation and rollback plans
Enforce secure access to GCP services, secrets, and container registries
Work with developers to troubleshoot issues and improve system stability and performance
Help scale and refine infrastructure supporting large-scale distributed workloads

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes workloads
Solid fundamentals in Linux servers, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS
Practical experience managing infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible
Experience reviewing infrastructure plans and managing changes across environments
Proficiency with Helm, Git-based delivery, and Docker container build pipelines
Confidence writing Bash and Python scripts
Working knowledge of GCP, particularly GKE, IAM, and Secret Manager
Security-conscious approach to credentials and access permissions
Clear communication skills during code reviews and incidents
Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and explain technical trade-offs
Experience with large-scale, multi-cluster systems (nice to have)
Experience with web-scraping environments (nice to have)
Experience with Cloudflare, HAProxy, ArgoCD, Linkerd, Redis, PostgreSQL, Datadog, or VictoriaMetrics (nice to have)
Familiarity with Python, NodeJS, Rust, or Go (nice to have)
