About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Receive shipments of samples
Unpack sample coolers
Verify samples against customer paperwork
Log samples into the company system
Work in the sample receiving department of an environmental testing laboratory
Perform work in laboratory and office settings
Work around chemicals, fumes, gases, noxious odors, and other laboratory-related conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Previous customer service, shipping, or warehouse experience strongly preferred
Laboratory or environmental testing experience preferred but not required
Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting
Ability to remain standing for long periods
Ability to work around strong odors
Ability to wear required PPE
Ability to use standard office and laboratory equipment
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently
Vision to read printed materials and computer screens
Hearing and speech to communicate in person or by telephone
