About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee, review, complete, and process standard quality forms, documents, databases, and related information
- Provide analysis, interpretation, and counsel regarding quality policies, programs, and practices
- Research and resolve management and employee questions and requirements
- Assist with receiving customer feedback and coordinating resources and responses
- Analyze operations, results, feedback, and quality information to determine trends and present findings and recommendations to management
- Audit tests, equipment, actions, procedures, operational databases, and reports for accuracy
- Work with teams to resolve discrepancies
- Assist with quality and cross-functional projects, including budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other requirements
- Interpret and apply department policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
- Contribute to department efficiency and effectiveness and participate as an active work-team member
- Promote Pace Analytical's mission and maintain a courteous, cooperative, and effective workplace
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, operations, or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Fundamental principles, practices, and techniques of quality
- Standard understanding of quality programs, policies, procedures, laws, codes, and regulations
- Understanding of standard testing tools, equipment, and calibration
- Computer applications and systems related to the work
- Ability to perform professional-level quality duties and administer quality functions
- Ability to train others in policies and procedures
- Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations
- Ability to prepare functional reports, correspondence, and other written materials
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Ability to perform oral presentations to large and small groups
- Ability to work in team and individual contributor environments
- Mobility to work in a lab and office setting and use standard office and lab equipment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently
- Vision to read printed materials and computer screens
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone
