About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate shipping schedules and cargo movement with carriers, partners, and customs authorities
- Resolve operational issues, including delays, discrepancies, and damaged goods
- Conduct performance evaluations of operative partners and service providers
- Maintain accurate records of ship calls, costs, and operational activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operational processes and enhance efficiency
- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations and ensure smooth coordination between stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in shipping and port operations, as boarding clerk, Operations assistant or executive, Cargo Flow position or related position
- Comprobable experience in related industries (logistics, shipping or supply chain)
- Ability to understand complex processes, define problems and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
- Knowledge of laws and rules applicable by authorities, as well as local usages and customs in ports under the candidate's jurisdiction
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and practices
- Proficiency in logistics management software
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Brazilian nationality or current legal right to work in Brazil
