About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals to residents
Work with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented attractively
Understand and respect residents' preferences and serve food and beverages accordingly
Serve and distribute morning and afternoon teas
Assist the Cook with ordering and rotating food stocks
Clean dishes after each meal and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
Deliver excellent customer service to residents and their families
Report directly to the Chef Manager
Work across a range of shifts throughout the day

Requirements

What you’ll need

A current National Police Check
Prior experience in a similar role within Aged Care essential
Readiness and willing to learn new skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative
Ability to work as a part of a team in a proactive support role to cook
Excellent hygiene standards
A Knowledge of Food Safety Standards
All applicants must provide a valid national police check and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment.
