About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas in pristine condition
- Trim hedges and trees
- Mow, edge, and whipper snip lawns
- Control weeds and pests through herbicide application
- Rake and blow leaves; prune and dispose of dying vegetation
- Plant, mulch, water, and maintain flowers and shrubs
- Maintain irrigation systems
- Oversee the outdoor presentation of facilities, including BBQ and pool maintenance
- Keep mechanical equipment and tools in good working order
- Help ensure resort grounds are safe, clean, and visually appealing year-round
Requirements
What you’ll need- A "C" class drivers licence
- Relevant gardening experience in a similar role
- Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous
- ACDC chemical licence is advantageous
- Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
- Physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
- Initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
- Role subject to a pre-employment medical check
