About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas in pristine condition
Perform hedge and tree trimming
Mow, edge, and use a whipper snipper
Control weeds and pests through herbicide application
Rake and blow leaves, prune and dispose of dying vegetation
Plant, mulch, water, and maintain flowers and shrubs
Maintain irrigation systems
Oversee outdoor presentation of facilities, including BBQ and pool maintenance
Keep mechanical equipment and tools in good working order
Ensure resort grounds are safe, clean, and visually appealing for residents and visitors year-round
Work 38 hours per week between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, in a hands-on capacity

Requirements

What you’ll need

A "C" class drivers licence
Relevant gardening experience in a similar role
Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous
ACDC chemical licence is advantageous
Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
Physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
Initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
Successful completion of a pre-employment medical check
