About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead month-end financial accounting processes
  • Prepare audit-quality balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Deliver monthly management reporting packs
  • Analyse and report financial results, KPIs, and key variances
  • Assist with consolidated financial reporting, management accounts, financial statements, and financial statement analysis
  • Supervise, oversee, and quality-review reconciliations, reporting, and analysis prepared by finance team members
  • Assist with lender and external regulatory agency reporting
  • Assist with annual and half-year financial statement preparation and statutory audit processes
  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling quarterly forecasts
  • Prepare cash flow reporting, forecasting, and treasury activities
  • Engage with Group and Divisional operational employees on reporting and forecasting results and analysis
  • Assist the Financial Controller in managing Accounts Payable and Receivable teams
  • Participate in finance system implementation projects
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as required by the Group Financial Controller and CFO
  • Provide backup for other finance team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Current CPA or CA qualification
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Minimum 3–5 years post-graduate experience in a medium to large size enterprise
  • Advanced Excel skills, including spreadsheeting and report writing
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with enterprise-level Accounting ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proactive, inquisitive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
