About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to translate vision and goals into strategy, execution, and rigorous operations
Solve ambiguous, high-impact problems and lead growth initiatives
Provide critical support and staffing to the CEO
Design, run, and iterate operating rhythms including weekly staff meetings, quarterly planning, and annual strategy and goal-setting
Keep the Executive Team aligned, accountable, and moving at speed
Proactively surface organizational problems and drive resolution
Organize and protect the CEO's time and prepare materials and background for external meetings
Lead strategic initiatives end to end, including diagnosis, alignment, execution, and close
Support M&A evaluation, philanthropic fundraising, cross-functional strategy, executive offsite planning, and operational improvements
Draft team meeting talking points, investor updates, board materials, and customer follow-ups in the CEO's voice
Monitor organizational signals through interactions with product teams and customer calls, then advise the CEO on implications and actions
Serve as a thought partner to executive and senior leaders across GTM, finance, product strategy, and talent
Challenge leadership thinking and broker alignment across functions
Travel 15–20%

Requirements

What you’ll need

K-12 education experience or high-growth technology startup experience is ideal
6+ years of experience in chief of staff, strategy, operations, management consulting, banking, or a directly comparable role supporting senior executive leadership
Exceptional written and oral/presentation skills at the executive level
Ability to write in someone else's voice for a range of audiences and make complicated things simple
Genuine curiosity about how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping business and education
Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives, drive decisions, and deliver results without direct authority
Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
Ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear recommendations
Experience designing and running operating cadences, including leadership syncs, goal/OKR processes, and strategic planning cycles
Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in a complex domain and think strategically across multiple functions
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive business, team, and strategic information
Passion for improving education for every student
Strong experience using and building AI agents is preferred
