About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand technical requirements and write high-quality, clean, maintainable code using software development best practices
- Quickly learn and develop deep knowledge of the product domain
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, deeply tested software solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production system issues, including critical issues outside normal business hours
- Design software components based on business and technical requirements
- Analyze non-functional requirements and address functional and non-functional system needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality deliveries
- Perform design and code reviews and provide improvement feedback
- Assist with the technical and professional growth of team members
- Maintain cohesive, collaborative relationships with team members and coworkers
- Maintain confidentiality concerning PAR and customer information
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of five (5) years of software development experience, including at least two (2) years with C# .NET at the expert level
- Expertise in RESTful APIs
- Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL database systems
- Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js and Bootstrap
- Experience with UML is a plus
- Excellent understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
- Experience in domain-driven design and microservices
- Familiarity with code quality and coverage tools such as SonarQube and JaCoCo
- Expertise with unit/performance testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
- Ability to design software components based on business and technical requirements
- Experience with design principles, design patterns and related practices
- Experience leading software development project teams is a plus
- Experience with large-scale, distributed, event-based architectures is a plus
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development is desirable
- Excellent debugging skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize multiple perspectives
- Pragmatic approach to solving problems with off-the-shelf tools
- Strong written, oral and visual communication skills
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with agile software development principles and practices
