About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the technical design and implementation of complex, scalable, maintainable software solutions
- Translate business and technical requirements into architectural designs and high-quality code
- Drive software development best practices, clean code, design principles, testing, and performance optimization
- Act as technical authority for architecture, frameworks, tools, and patterns
- Gain deep understanding of the product domain and align solutions with customer needs
- Design and evolve extensible systems focused on scalability, security, and reliability
- Analyze and address performance, scalability, availability, security, and maintainability requirements
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams
- Lead design reviews and code reviews and set quality standards
- Mentor and coach engineers
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and critical incidents outside normal business hours when required
- Champion domain-driven design, microservices, and modern architectural practices
- Own technical initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain collaborative relationships while protecting PAR and customer data confidentiality
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10–13 years of overall software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on expertise with C# .NET, including architecture and advanced design
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Expert-level experience in C# .NET and backend system design
- Strong expertise in RESTful API design and development
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and database design
- Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Bootstrap
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
- Proven experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices architecture
- Experience designing and working with large-scale, distributed, event-driven systems
- Familiarity with UML modeling
- Experience with code quality, security, and coverage tools such as SonarQube and Jacoco
- Strong experience with unit, integration, and performance testing, and TDD practices
- Experience applying design patterns and architectural principles across systems
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Proven experience acting as a Technical Lead or Staff Engineer on complex projects
- Ability to influence technical decisions across teams without direct authority
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate trade-offs and multiple perspectives
- Experience leveraging off-the-shelf tools and frameworks
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable operating with minimal supervision
- Alignment with Agile/Scrum development principles and practices
