About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide concierge-level customer service to patients, referring offices, and team members by phone, in person, and electronically
- Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally
- Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and use of exam and treatment rooms
- Prepare daily schedules for each provider
- Prepare patient charts
- Manage patient flow to reduce wait times
- Assist patients as necessary
- Maintain a neat and orderly reception area
- Maintain professional relationships with referring offices
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of customer service experience required
- Understanding of dental terminology
- Friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Previous oral surgery experience is a plus but not required
- Authorization to work in the United States, as verified through E-Verify
