About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination
  • Manually clean supplies of contaminants
  • Operate and maintain decontamination equipment
  • Prepare and package decontaminated supplies for sterilization
  • Examine supplies to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized
  • Test and report issues with sterilization equipment
  • Sterilize, prep, wrap, and organize equipment into instrument trays for medical procedures
  • Prepare and deliver necessary equipment and instruments for procedures
  • Maintain records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies
  • Monitor inventory and supplies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of relevant experience preferred
  • Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulous care on job
  • Passion for keeping people safe
  • Good judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle fragile equipment
  • Technical skills and familiarity with sterilization techniques
  • Ability to work well in a team or individually
  • Authorized to work in the United States, as verified through E-Verify
