About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Update and maintain patient insurance information
- Maintain doctor schedules to ensure efficient use of the doctor’s time
- Partner with the clinical team to ensure an excellent patient experience
- Adhere to deadlines and prioritize work against the patient schedule
- Collect patient payments effectively and professionally
- Understand doctor treatment recommendations and develop treatment plans from diagnoses
- Communicate treatment options and associated costs to patients
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Serve as a trusted resource for patients and guide them through financial options
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- One year of customer service experience required
- Medical or dental experience preferred
- Understanding of dental terminology
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work cross functionally with other team members
- Previous oral surgery experience is a plus but not required
- Authorization to work in the United States, confirmed through E-Verify
- Full-Time (>30 Hours)
