About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Update and maintain patient insurance information
  • Maintain doctor schedules to ensure efficient use of the doctor’s time
  • Partner with the clinical team to ensure an excellent patient experience
  • Adhere to deadlines and prioritize work against the patient schedule
  • Collect patient payments effectively and professionally
  • Understand doctor treatment recommendations and develop treatment plans from diagnoses
  • Communicate treatment options and associated costs to patients
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Serve as a trusted resource for patients by explaining treatment plans and guiding them through financial options

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of customer service experience required
  • Medical or dental experience preferred
  • Understanding of dental terminology
  • Basic office skills such as typing and filing
  • Good organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other team members
  • Authorized to work in the United States, as verified through E-Verify
