About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment maintenance schedules
- Assist with maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and reorder items as needed
- Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and equipment
- Assist in training and mentoring other maintenance staff as needed
- Work across Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh Cary and DoubleTree Raleigh Cary properties
Requirements
What you’ll need- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or construction-related field, preferably in a hotel environment
- Solid understanding of building maintenance principles and practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Technical training or certification in a relevant trade is advantageous
