About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with routine maintenance, including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance
  • Perform maintenance and preventive repairs on building systems and equipment throughout the property
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including refrigerators, ice machines, and laundry equipment
  • Help maintain cleanliness and safety of hotel grounds and public areas
  • Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and courteously
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Follow safety and security guidelines when using tools and equipment
  • Work alongside the engineering team to keep the hotel property in peak condition

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a maintenance or construction-related field
  • Basic understanding of building maintenance principles and practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests and colleagues
  • Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Physical stamina, including ability to lift at least 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and bend/kneel
