About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work directly inside strategic enterprise customers and build software that makes their AI agents work in production
  • Build customer-specific integrations and capabilities not covered by Parloa’s AMP platform
  • Lead complex programmes with multiple workstreams and make architecture decisions spanning Parloa’s platform and the customer’s organization
  • Build systems of record, telephony and contact-center integrations, state management, data readiness, multi-agent orchestration and retrieval
  • Prototype unclear solutions quickly and decide whether they are worth pursuing
  • Own production quality and security, including evaluations, production readiness, observability, incident playbooks, PII, access control and audit trails
  • Debug live technical and model-behavior issues
  • Grow customer accounts through additional use cases, business units and renewals
  • Set delivery standards for engineers on complex accounts and identify capabilities that belong in the core product
  • Mentor Product Engineers and participate in interviewing and hiring
  • Establish standards for validating AI-assisted work before production deployment
  • Represent Parloa with senior technical stakeholders, including principal engineers, architects and security leaders
  • Write and review code weekly as an individual contributor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of professional software development, delivering production systems end to end
  • Fluent in TypeScript or Python, or able to get there quickly
  • 5+ years leading the design and architecture of large-scale production systems in customer-facing or enterprise environments, with a focus on reliability, scale and failure modes
  • Experience leading agentic, spec-driven development in production
  • Track record in long-term enterprise accounts or fast experiments
  • Experience as a mentor or tech lead
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and customer-facing work
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Experience building or deploying an LLM-powered system used by real users in production is nice to have
  • Hands-on experience with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering or multi-agent orchestration is nice to have
  • Founder or founding-engineer background is nice to have
  • Forward-deployed, solutions engineering, product engineering or strategic-partner experience at an enterprise software or AI company is nice to have
  • Voice or conversational AI, contact center, telephony or CCaaS integration experience is nice to have
  • Experience in regulated industries such as banking, insurance or telecom is nice to have
