About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all aspects of Pattern’s go-to-market strategies, primarily focused on Amazon 1st Party (Vendor Central) marketplace management
- Oversee partner relationships and manage joint business plans with Amazon
- Negotiate vendor agreements and resolve escalations
- Set the strategic direction for 1P ecommerce initiatives
- Guide integration of SaaS solutions and Outcomes as a Service into marketplace strategies
- Work closely with Product and Technology teams to deliver scalable results
- Extend marketplace strategy across Amazon and select strategic marketplaces, including Walmart.com and Target.com
- Set direction for end-to-end planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization across high-profile beauty brands
- Own category intake strategy, including OTB, ordering, and excess management
- Translate forecast deviations into mitigation actions
- Shape segmented assortment strategy using quantitative market analysis
- Lead executive-level brand partner relationships and supply chain optimization discussions
- Set trading lever strategy, including swap and return negotiations, EOL MD management, and promotional planning
- Own annual, quarterly, and weekly budgets with Finance and Brand Growth leadership
- Lead onboarding strategy for new partners
- Drive operational excellence through innovation projects and team initiatives
- Represent Beauty brands in Inventory Health Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Assortment Reviews
- Build, develop, and lead Associate Directors and Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
- Significant experience leading merchandising, buying, or inventory planning functions within the Beauty category
- Proven track record owning P&L-level outcomes tied to inventory, margin, and revenue
- Outstanding analytical and data management skills, with the ability to translate data into executive-level decisions
- Strong track record building and scaling high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and executive audiences
- High ethical standards
- Management consulting experience a plus
