About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set the global supply chain and transportation strategy in line with company growth, new markets, and new business models
Lead global teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC
Oversee inbound freight, outbound freight to marketplaces, and D2C operations in every region
Build cross-border supply chains, including import and export flows, freight consolidation, and port operations
Manage relationships with carriers, marketplaces, and logistics partners, including Amazon
Own transportation budgets and spend, and track cost and service performance with data
Partner with warehousing and inventory management leaders to keep goods moving between Pattern locations
Investigate problems, simplify them, and present recommendations to executive leadership
Ensure inbound freight, outbound freight, and D2C operations run reliably in every region
Launch cross-border lanes and consolidation efforts on schedule and within budget
Establish global team structure, goals, and performance
Provide concise executive updates
Assess current operations, relationships, spend, projects, strengths, gaps, and risks during the first 30 days
Deliver cost and service quick wins and establish regional transportation reporting by 60 days
Present a global supply chain and transportation strategy, cross-border roadmap, regional team structure, and performance measures by 90 days
Collaborate cross-functionally with warehousing, inventory management, and finance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Years of experience at the Director or VP level leading transportation as a senior leader
Strong understanding of supply chain principles and strategy
Knowledge of cross-border supply chains, import and export, and consolidation
Experience leading global teams across multiple regions
Record of expanding supply chain from a narrow functional focus to a broader, business-oriented role
Experience ideally in a marketplace, large retailer, or ecommerce fulfillment company
Results-focused and proactive, data-driven approach to problem solving
Ability to simplify complex issues and communicate clearly with executives
