About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze opportunity spaces using internal and external data to define the largest opportunities
  • Leverage AI, BI, and Excel tools
  • Define product and equipment specifications and compare marketplace offerings
  • Collaborate with Procurement to define specifications and ensure alternatives meet desired specifications
  • Work with business teams to gather input and build consensus on launch offerings
  • Partner with business unit Marketing teams to prepare and execute campaigns for house-brand lines
  • Create materials for annual sales meetings, new-item presentation meetings, and similar key meetings
  • Support private-label product setup and launch from sourcing approval through inventory availability under established QMS procedures
  • Provide vendors with New Product Submission Forms, Patterson Brand Standards, and documentation requirements
  • Collect NPSFs, SDSs, IFUs, and other required documentation for internal recipients
  • Coordinate with Category Management on product, cost, pricing, packaging, and competitive information submissions
  • Submit approved product information through the Product Submission workflow and track item-number creation
  • Develop labels with vendors
  • Submit product documentation to Regulatory for evaluation and medical-device registration/listing verification
  • Coordinate with Category Management and Supply Chain on product data for purchase orders, inventory planning, and website availability
  • Maintain documentation, follow up with vendors and internal partners, and escalate launch-delaying issues
  • Support profit and sales objectives and financial growth plans with Finance and Pricing
  • Assist with financial modeling
  • Analyze sales, feedback, historical data, and competitor trends to inform strategies and product decisions
  • Present to large and small groups and communicate with executives and cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly analytical; adept at taking large elements of data, analyzing and turning them into insights, action and outcomes
  • Ability to quickly influence and establish relationships, gain credibility, trust and respect with peers, executives and brand partners
  • Ability to develop category/brand strategies
  • High performance standards
  • Ability to approach portfolio development from a creative, strategic, and analytical perspective
  • Four-year college degree required
  • 3+ years of leadership within Management Consulting or Marketing Innovation team
  • Based in MN or CO
  • Hybrid in office
  • Ability to travel
  • Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, PowerBI, Excel modeling, AI tools, financial modeling, and computer programming
  • Preferred: Experience developing and launching growth platforms and market research experience
  • Preferred: MBA
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the dental or medical market; for animal health, knowledge of the animal health market
