About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the finance and accounting department for the region.
  • Monitor regional operations and implement changes when needed.
  • Assure internal controls are in place and enforced.
  • Supervise activities of the regional accounting center.
  • Perform monthly financial close in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Develop regional budgets yearly.
  • Develop financial forecasts quarterly.
  • Develop information and present meaningful operations reviews to the Division.
  • Provide information for external financial reporting requirements when needed.
  • Support and direct regional management, sales and operations teams.
  • Provide leadership to direct reports, including objective planning, feedback, knowledge and training.
  • Manage direct reports, including hiring, development, performance management, goal setting and other managerial duties.
  • Ensure direct reports follow established business policies, practices and the Company’s Code of Conduct.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated inventory, costing, general ledger and financial analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet work and project deadlines producing high quality output.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Verbal and written communication skills for financial and non-financial business partners.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement and work with management to optimize processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to operate a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally move packages up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and exchange accurate information with coworkers, customers and vendors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and written documents.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (25%) in a national area.
