About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and engage prospective managed service providers across Australia or New Zealand
- Build high-quality pipelines through proactive prospecting, social selling, networking, referrals, events, and outbound outreach
- Develop territory strategies that create sustainable new business opportunities
- Uncover and convert new logo opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Understand partner growth ambitions and commercial objectives
- Demonstrate the value of the Pax8 marketplace aligned with partner business goals
- Handle objections, commercial discussions, and negotiations
- Position Pax8 as a strategic growth enabler
- Guide newly acquired partners through onboarding
- Help partners achieve marketplace adoption and early commercial success
- Remove barriers and accelerate time-to-value
- Collaborate with vendor teams, solutions engineers, and subject matter experts
- Recognise growth signals and future expansion opportunities
- Manage opportunities from initial outreach through successful activation
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management
- Capture market insights to shape future growth strategies
- Deliver consistent activity levels and acquisition outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven success in new business acquisition, business development, account executive, channel sales, or hunting-focused sales roles
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through proactive outbound activity
- Strong consultative selling and discovery capabilities
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and business owners
- Experience managing complex opportunity pipelines
- Excellent relationship-building and commercial communication skills
- Strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy
- Resilience, curiosity, ownership, and a growth mindset
- Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding acquisition-focused targets
- Direct experience in cloud technology, managed services, cybersecurity, SaaS, technology distribution, telecommunications, vendor ecosystems, or marketplace environments is advantageous but not essential
- Must hold valid right to work in Australia or New Zealand
- Successful candidates must complete ID verification, reference requests, qualification checks, and potentially criminal and financial checks
