Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the architecture and evolution of business-critical platform services across multiple teams and products
Design resilient, scalable systems aligned with long-term platform strategy, interoperability, and organizational impact
Anticipate operational risks and build safeguards before issues reach production
Assess engineering investments using data and outcomes and adjust direction accordingly
Guide technical transitions, platform modernizations, and migration programs while minimizing disruption
Produce architectural guidance, technical standards, and reference designs
Establish operational, reliability, security, and AI governance standards
Mentor and influence engineers across teams
Drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled engineering approaches
Improve platform reliability, innovation, engineering standards, and value for partners, vendors, and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Substantial experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems
Advanced expertise in software architecture and systems design
Proven ability to evaluate technical trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, cost, latency, and maintainability
Experience designing platforms and services supporting multiple teams and business functions
Extensive experience identifying and mitigating systemic risks
Strong technical communication skills and experience creating architectural documentation and engineering standards
Ability to drive technical alignment across multiple stakeholder groups
Deep understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, governance, and responsible implementation
Advanced proficiency using AI-powered tools for software development while maintaining quality and security
Experience reviewing, validating, and governing AI-assisted engineering solutions
Strong understanding of platform reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence
Experience leading large-scale modernization initiatives and technical migrations
Knowledge of agentic workflows, orchestration patterns, and AI-native software development
Demonstrated success improving engineering effectiveness through automation and intelligent systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Valid right to work in United States
