About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the optimal operation of the payment ecosystem
- Monitor various systems
- Analyze and investigate requests
- Participate in developing internal- and external-facing tools, including merchant management systems, payment portals, and dashboards
- Create, build, automate, and improve monitoring processes and procedures
- Address production and mission-critical issues in accordance with SLAs
- Troubleshoot issues and provide code fixes
- Document troubleshooting activities and solutions
- Identify technical issues and implement appropriate fixes and recommendations
- Collaborate with the team to ensure code delivery processes are followed
- Follow incident management procedures, SLAs, and team best practices
- Participate in software quality control
- Identify issues with documentation, procedures, and workflows, and provide feedback during weekly meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Available for on-call rotation
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation
- Very strong knowledge of Java programming and the Linux environment (mandatory)
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Oracle SQL (an asset)
- Knowledge of modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including React and Angular
- Knowledge of RESTful microservices and REST APIs
- Good understanding of the Java Spring Framework (an asset)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Proficiency with developer tools and debugging techniques
- Working knowledge of Git, Jira, and Atlassian tools
- Working knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and tools
