About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Use SQL and R or Python to extract and manipulate data underpinning recommendations
  • Make actionable recommendations about how to improve outcomes based on analysis
  • Work closely with the Data Science team to implement ML and AI models that optimize portfolio outcomes
  • Create dashboards measuring performance of credit portfolios, new product pilots, and A/B tests
  • Write succinct and thoughtful documentation explaining analysis and recommendations
  • Build datasets and dashboards using PayJoy’s data warehouse
  • Define actionable next steps that improve product profitability and risk KPIs
  • Provide data leadership to Executives, Product, Engineering, and Go to Market teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineer or similar
  • +2 years of experience in rigorous analytical/empirical role
  • Strong general analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Mastery of SQL
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Understanding of statistical tools and methods, and experience working with large data sets
  • Consumer finance experience is a plus
