About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the team responsible for the Customer Onboarding platform across 9+ countries, ensuring high availability and reliability for processing millions of loans
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the technical roadmap for the Customer Onboarding platform, aligning with product development and scaling goals
  • Oversee daily team operations, including task allocation, progress tracking, and timely project delivery
  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to define and deliver product features
  • Participate in recruiting and onboarding engineers; identify skill gaps and plan hiring and development to expand the team
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, career development, and performance feedback to team members
  • Align engineering efforts with product and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact products and features
  • Balance conversion, risk, and reliability while setting technical direction across system boundaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in a software engineering role, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or managerial position
  • Proficiency in full stack software development using languages such as Javascript/Typescript, and PHP, Java, C# (Level: Expert), and using AWS cloud products
  • Experience working in more than one type of architecture (microservices, mesh, etc.)
  • A can-do attitude and creative, flexible problem solving abilities, and the ability to think critically in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing technical projects and teams, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with technical leads to make durable and pragmatic architectural decisions
  • Strong plus to have made contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in technical communities
