About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop proprietary locking technology and credit-based products for emerging markets.
- Code software primarily in PHP, Javascript/Vue/AngularJS, HTML, and CSS; design, implement, test, debug, and deploy features and services.
- Work with the Product team to deliver code addressing business needs.
- Use and manage relational SQL databases, including CRUD operations with DDL and DML commands.
- Design and implement database schema changes.
- Handle customers’ sensitive information properly.
- Build data-driven products and real-time partner APIs.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and partners for international markets.
- Design tools enabling remote teams to support partners.
- Own features independently and contribute across the full development lifecycle.
- Mentor and document for new engineers; interview candidates.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, TDD, and Agile development.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 8 + years of experience in financial technology services.
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, PHP, Java, Javascript/Vue/AngularJS, HTML, CSS, SQL.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Being a team player, that includes review, pair programming, collaboration in one task, mentoring or being mentored.
