About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared product or platform vision
  • Plan and implement architectural roadmaps balancing innovation, technical implementation, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, customer needs, and profitability
  • Define reusable services, APIs, data contracts, measurement capabilities, launch controls, and operational standards for PayPal Ads
  • Build a scalable partner-integration roadmap across Ads surfaces, geographies, devices, and operating systems
  • Work with Ad Tech partners to integrate their solutions with PayPal Ads technology and experiences
  • Define MVP requirements and stepwise enhancements to scale products in the market
  • Monitor product success metrics through usability studies, research, and market analysis
  • Lead analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis workstreams
  • Write technical requirements including API contracts, event schemas, SLAs, latency and fill budgets, and drive launches with Engineering and Data Science
  • Partner with Privacy, Legal, and Compliance to operationalize consent, data minimization, and market-specific requirements
  • Work across Ad Sales, Customer Success, Merchant Product, Venmo, Honey, and Checkout to deliver capabilities end to end
  • Partner with Finance on unit economics and margin
  • Participate in Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews
  • Interface with PayPal Ads leadership
  • Mentor product managers and raise technical product craft across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of relevant product management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent practical experience / equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ownership of a technical platform or infrastructure product, including APIs, data platforms, or distributed services
  • Ability to work credibly with engineers on system design and trade-offs
  • Ability to write precise technical product requirements
  • Experience building high-growth B2C or consumer products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Strong data literacy, including defining metrics, interrogating large datasets, and designing experiments and incrementality tests
  • Proven success shipping in ambiguity on a new business line with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Commitment to PayPal values of inclusion, innovation, collaboration, and wellness
  • Direct prior experience in Ads, eCommerce, FinTech, and/or banking ecosystems is a major plus
