About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with PayPal’s business objectives and procurement strategies
- Conduct category and supplier analysis to identify cost savings, risk mitigation, and performance improvement opportunities
- Lead supplier negotiations for favorable terms, pricing, and service levels
- Manage supplier relationships, contractual compliance, performance, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and develop sourcing strategies
- Monitor market trends and industry developments for procurement risks and opportunities
- Research, assess, and select vendors aligned with strategic goals and quality standards
- Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures
- Analyze spend data and procurement metrics; report findings to senior management
- Guide and mentor junior analysts and other team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience developing strategic sourcing plans
- Experience conducting category and supplier analysis
- Experience leading supplier negotiations
- Experience managing supplier relationships and contractual compliance
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience monitoring market trends and industry developments
- Experience evaluating and selecting vendors
- Experience developing procurement policies and procedures
- Experience analyzing spend data and procurement metrics
- Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members
