About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Unify product strategy across Braintree’s mobile SDKs, web SDK, server SDKs, and GraphQL API
  • Own GraphQL strategy, versioning, deprecation, and schema sign-off
  • Identify integration experience gaps for large enterprise merchants and turn them into a product roadmap
  • Identify value-added services that can increase margins
  • Represent the product area in executive reviews
  • Help SDK and API product managers prioritize their roadmaps
  • Own PayPal’s AI response as developers shift toward LLMs and coding agents
  • Get Braintree integrated into major LLMs as native plugins
  • Keep models trained on current API versions
  • Plan the sunsetting of older SDK and API versions and intelligently migrate merchants
  • Drive product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Plan and implement the architectural roadmap
  • Establish metrics, conduct usability studies, research, and market analysis
  • Lead analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis
  • Oversee product profitability measures and budget
  • Plan Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews
  • Interface with product and technology leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience driving product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience planning architectural roadmaps balancing innovation, technical implementation, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, customer needs, and profitability
  • Experience assessing customer experience and needs in product requirements and decision-making
  • Experience establishing product success metrics and data-gathering mechanisms
  • Experience leading analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis
  • Experience overseeing product profitability and budgets
  • Experience planning operational mechanisms for execution and accountability
  • Experience partnering with content strategists, data scientists, product designers, and UX researchers
