About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support development teams with the platform convergence project
- Provide new infrastructure components to support new development initiatives
- Participate in the full migration of workloads from AWS to GCP
- Refactor and optimize the Infrastructure as Code codebase
- Contribute to the design of new architectures and the continuous improvement of the technical stack and tooling
- Build resilient, scalable, and highly automated infrastructure
- Keep production platforms operational and reliable
- Monitor platforms and manage incidents
- Conduct root cause analyses and post-mortems
- Troubleshoot issues to ensure service availability and performance
- Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service continuity
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–4 years of significant experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Engineer working with cloud production environments
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP or AWS), with a strong willingness to develop expertise in the other
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
- Good knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem
- Comfortable working with CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab CI
- Comfortable working with observability tools, particularly Datadog and Prometheus
- Excellent team spirit and the ability to solve complex problems
- Strong belief that automation is the key to reliability
- Experience in a highly security-sensitive environment, such as payments, is a plus
