About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support enterprise tax compliance and governance for PBI-Gordon Companies and subsidiaries, including U.S. and international entities
- Coordinate outsourced income-tax compliance with EY, CBIZ, and local advisors, including PBC preparation, data validation, and review of draft filings
- Evaluate tax implications of international expansion, new markets, and new legal-entity structures
- Ensure consistent tax positions, documentation, and internal controls across jurisdictions
- Manage U.S. sales/use tax, property tax, business licenses, and multistate registrations
- Support VAT/GST compliance, OSS/IOSS registrations and filings, and EU ViDA readiness
- Maintain nexus monitoring and timely registrations across jurisdictions
- Own tax technology platforms and support tax software evaluation, selection, implementation, configuration, maintenance, testing, deployment, and stabilization
- Ensure tax systems integrate with ERP, e-commerce, and sales platforms
- Coordinate annual transfer pricing studies and maintain intercompany documentation, cost-plus calculations, and year-end true-ups
- Receive, track, and resolve tax notices across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions
- Coordinate responses with internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Support international statutory audits and maintain audit-ready tax documentation
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT
- Support legal-entity registrations, renewals, compliance tracking, tax research, business initiatives, product launches, international expansion, and earnout valuations
- Follow company safety policies, complete required safety training, and report unsafe conditions and incidents
- Report to the Sr. Director & Corporate Controller
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in tax compliance, public accounting, or corporate tax
- Strong knowledge of U.S. indirect tax and multistate compliance
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with external advisors
- Ability to own processes end-to-end with appropriate guidance
- Ability to navigate multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional environments
- Tax technology proficiency and proactive process-improvement approach
- Ability to interact confidently with tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants
- Ability to research complex tax issues independently
- CPA preferred
- Experience with VAT, OSS/IOSS, international tax, or statutory audits preferred
- Experience evaluating, implementing, or managing tax technology platforms such as Avalara or Vertex strongly preferred
- Experience with transfer pricing and intercompany documentation preferred
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements verified through E-Verify
