About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own all content and quality deliverables for assigned scoring projects from start-up through post-project analysis
- Develop and deliver item-specific training for Scoring Directors, Supervisors, and Scorers
- Mentor and guide scoring personnel on project-specific content and quality expectations
- Apply state and national ELA and Social Studies standards to develop scoring materials
- Serve as the subject matter expert in meetings with clients and educators
- Ensure clear daily communication with internal teams and external clients
- Meet or exceed quality, efficiency, and delivery targets
- Develop and maintain an engaged and effective team of Scoring Directors and Supervisors
- Build collaborative partnerships with project managers and external clients as a trusted content expert
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in English, Social Sciences, or Humanities strongly preferred
- Two (2) years of assessment industry experience as a Scoring Director or equivalent lead role
- Experience leading remote scoring teams in multiple ELA/Social Studies projects
- Strong working knowledge of scoring reports and data-driven management
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools
- Must maintain a safe, secure, professional, and productive home office environment
- Flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings, late evenings, or weekends as required by project deadlines and collaboration across time zones
- Occasional travel of approximately 5-10% may be required
