About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead operational execution across multiple schools and leadership teams
Directly manage and coach multiple school leaders across a portfolio of schools
Support and influence leadership teams and school staff through operational systems and execution discipline
Establish consistent operational expectations across schools
Hold school leaders accountable for academic action plans, compliance and charter/SOA requirements, school-year milestones, and operational deliverables
Monitor operational health, engagement trends, and compliance indicators to identify risks and interventions
Provide structured, data-informed coaching to improve execution at scale
Ensure schools are operationally prepared to support enrollment growth
Validate leadership capacity, staffing structures, onboarding processes, scheduling, and systems readiness
Identify operational constraints and risks to charter stability and renewal readiness
Ensure consistent execution of school-year cycle activities, including calendar and handbook alignment, policy and process reviews, and summer school planning
Conduct performance evaluations and manage development plans for school leaders
Lead hiring and onboarding of school leaders
Drive succession planning and leadership development
Support relationships with boards, authorizers, districts, and other key partners
Prepare for board, authorizer, and key partner meetings through agenda development, data review, performance narratives, and follow-up actions
Support operational change, enterprise system adoption, and continuous improvement across multiple schools

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years proven leadership experience as a Principal or equivalent level required
Advanced degree in Education or Management is required
Virtual school leadership required
Flexible
Innovative
Comfortable with technology
Strong communications skills
Data-driven and results-focused
Ability to travel frequently
