Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and Spring Boot
Develop and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and integrations between applications
Build and enhance frontend user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React
Develop and maintain full-stack features across frontend, backend, and database components
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments
Work with AWS cloud services to support application performance, monitoring, and reliability
Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development efficiency
Collaborate with product and technology stakeholders to deliver quality software solutions
Follow established software engineering practices for security, scalability, maintainability, and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Approximately 2–5 years of experience in software development or a related engineering role
Strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented programming and software design principles
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or a similar Java backend framework
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services
Working knowledge of frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React or Angular
Understanding of full-stack application architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs, and databases
Experience working with relational databases and SQL
Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows
Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and software quality practices
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and application deployment processes
Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-based application environments
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
Nice to have: Python scripting and automation, AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS, and CloudWatch, Docker, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, GraphQL, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, monitoring/logging/observability tools, API security, authentication and authorization, AI/ML or Generative AI technologies, automated testing frameworks, and test-driven development
