About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build new features enabling users to engage with their paychecks through different financial means
Enhance and reimagine UX interfaces for users providing financial information and engaging with monetary accounts associated with their jobs
Build seamless third-party integrations with payment vendors
Improve invoice experiences by providing rich and robust data and insights
Establish and standardize frontend best practices for the invoicing and payments domain
Create clean, reusable code, readable documentation, and replicable practices
Serve as the frontend subject-matter expert on a primarily full-stack and backend-focused team
Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams
Navigate the full technology stack through the database and infrastructure levels

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional frontend/UX software engineering experience
1+ years of experience building frontends and API frameworks for invoicing or financial systems, or 2+ years building frontends in a domain with complex forms and dashboards
Strong command of modern frontend technologies, including React and TypeScript
Solid understanding of frontend integration with backend services and APIs
Thorough understanding of frontend best-practice design patterns and frameworks
Expertise establishing frontend best practices within an established frontend system
Proven experience collaborating with designers and product managers to turn wireframes and mockups into reusable, scalable, intuitive frontend code
Experience with complex forms is a major plus
Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems, and Kubernetes
Comfort and willingness to work across the full stack, including backend and infrastructure
Flexible but opinionated mindset focused on iterative customer impact, reliability, and future maintainability
Ability to collaborate in-office Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm at the Palo Alto office
Ability to work in the Bay Area, California
Experience building onboarding flows
