About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate and support business- and department-level strategic planning processes
  • Design and conduct strategy reviews and alignment meetings
  • Create and maintain strategy communications, including goals, priorities, scorecards, results, and governance decisions
  • Manage the portfolio intake process for new initiatives, enhancements, and requests
  • Monitor portfolio progress and effectiveness, providing updates and recommendations for adjustments
  • Support implementation and enablement of the company’s strategy framework, documentation, and execution systems
  • Develop change management plans to gain adoption
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to define strategic objectives, business goals, and target outcomes
  • Analyze internal and external sources, including market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging risks
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations to senior leadership
  • Develop workshop facilitation materials and strategy enablement resources
  • Maintain a consolidated view of portfolio demand, prioritization status, and supporting documentation
  • Identify conflicting requests and facilitate discussions to resolve competing priorities
  • Assess portfolio requests using criteria including business value, risk, urgency, dependencies, and strategic alignment
  • Prepare portfolio insights and recommendations for governance review and prioritization discussions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational leadership, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically requires 4+ years of experience in strategic planning, business planning, business analysis, management consulting, or corporate communications
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Familiarity with strategy and execution frameworks such as Playing to Win, OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, OGSM, and 4DX
  • Experience with portfolio management, program management, demand intake, prioritization, or governance processes
  • Experience working in strategy, business development, financial planning, or transformation office
  • Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, or Life Insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, influence business leaders and cross-functional teams, think critically and connect tactical details to enterprise strategy, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and write, collect, and review data
  • Demonstrated skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems; situational analysis and decision-making
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and execution, industry standards, and Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint
