About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and support IBM mainframe and related infrastructure technologies
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security
- Lead technical troubleshooting and resolution of complex system issues
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives
- Develop and maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and support teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate requirements and recommend technology solutions
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Participate in project planning, solution architecture, and customer engagements as needed
- Support the reliability, security, and ongoing evolution of the organization's mainframe platform and services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience supporting enterprise mainframe environments
- Strong knowledge of IBM zSystems, z/OS, storage, networking, and related technologies
- Experience with performance tuning, automation, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
- 5+ years of experience
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
