About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the vision, roadmap, commercial performance, and delivery of Pelmorex's data product portfolio: Audience Segments, Foot Traffic Attribution, and the Engagefront DSP.
  • Set the market position for weather and location signals in the Canadian advertising market and translate it into marketable products.
  • Track portfolio health, operational metrics, revenue targets, forecasts, and performance updates for leadership.
  • Lead a team of three product managers.
  • Set the direction for the data platform and make build, buy, and partner decisions with technology leadership.
  • Implement privacy-safe data collaboration capabilities, including clean room approaches.
  • Define packaging, pricing, and go-to-market for data collaboration capabilities.
  • Set data source strategy and combine Pelmorex data assets to create value.
  • Ensure productized data reaches clients, partners, ad platforms, and internal product teams through appropriate channels.
  • Own data governance for the portfolio and operationalize Canadian privacy regulations.
  • Translate regulatory changes into product requirements, consent architecture, data retention rules, and contractual terms.
  • Establish review processes and documentation standards for new data use cases.
  • Ensure responsible use of AI and automated decisioning in data products.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, B2B, engineering, data science, Legal, Privacy, and consumer product teams.
  • Develop data partnerships and collaboration agreements.
  • Act as a senior voice with clients and partners on data strategy and product value.
  • Track competitive and platform shifts and adjust the roadmap.
  • Own insights, campaign effectiveness, attribution measurement, and business-impact reporting.
  • Represent the data business to the executive team with quantified narratives, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or Marketing is preferred; equivalent experience and demonstrated expertise will also be considered.
  • 7–8+ years of total experience in data product management, adtech, martech, or commercial data strategy.
  • Direct experience in advertising, media, or the data supply chain that serves them is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with data clean rooms or privacy-enhancing technologies, including platforms such as InfoSum, LiveRamp, Habu, Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Ads Data Hub.
  • Working knowledge of modern data platforms and their economics, including warehousing, pipelines, identity resolution, and matching.
  • Practical fluency in Canadian privacy law as it applies to advertising data, including Law 25 and PIPEDA.
  • Proven track record of owning commercial outcomes for a data or product line, with measurable revenue or margin results.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, audience taxonomies, and measurement and attribution methods.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical architectures to CMOs and client requirements to engineers.
  • Experience launching a data collaboration or clean room product to market, including pricing and packaging is nice to have.
  • Experience with location data, retail media, or attribution products is nice to have.
  • Bilingual English and French is nice to have.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Able to work in a hybrid model at the Oakville location.
