About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate and continuously improve the enterprise strategy process
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Executive Team’s operating model
  • Support executive-sponsored initiatives requiring enterprise coordination
  • Plan and facilitate annual strategic planning, including participation, timelines, deliverables, decisions, and communications
  • Support development and cascade of enterprise priorities, strategic objectives, and initiatives
  • Monitor enterprise strategy progress and report risks, opportunities, and insights to the Executive Team
  • Support three- to five-year strategic planning, scenario planning, trade-off discussions, and strategic investment decisions
  • Partner with the CEO and executives on weekly business updates, priorities, agendas, briefings, and decision-oriented discussions
  • Manage executive calendars and events, including annual Executive Advances and strategy discussions
  • Document, communicate, and track executive decisions, action items, and accountability through completion
  • Partner with executives to prepare Board of Directors meetings and materials
  • Plan and facilitate executive deep dives and special-topic working sessions
  • Support and monitor executive-sponsored strategic initiatives; lead or coordinate special projects as assigned
  • Draft executive communications, presentations, and reports
  • Foster cross-functional alignment, collaboration, communication, and execution without direct authority
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special assignments as required by the CEO and Executive Team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must be a resident and work from Washington, Oregon, or Idaho
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Communications, or related field
  • Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting executive leadership, strategy communication, and operationalization
  • Experience supporting senior executives, executive teams, boards of directors, or complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated success supporting and, as assigned, leading enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple functions
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, governance, organizational effectiveness, business transformation, or program leadership
  • Expertise using AI and digital tools to improve productivity and impact
  • Experience supporting and communicating executive discussions, decisions, and strategic direction
  • Expertise in executive meeting design, facilitation, decision support, and operating rhythm management
  • Strong understanding of insurance business operations, operational effectiveness, and financial performance
  • Strong research, analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to convert complex information into clear executive recommendations
  • Ability to drive outcomes through influence rather than direct authority
  • Demonstrated success building trust and credibility across organizational levels
