About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to meet business-unit needs
  • Maintain and support internal and external Talent Acquisition efforts
  • Manage open job requisitions in iCIMS for non-exempt corporate professional and property leadership roles
  • Review resumes and applications for relevant positions
  • Use sourcing tools to expand talent pipelines
  • Meet KPIs and goals assigned by the Manager
  • Pre-screen candidates and develop diverse talent pools
  • Develop, implement, and execute sourcing strategies
  • Create job offers and negotiate offers
  • Manage phone interview schedules and schedule onsite interviews
  • Assess candidates according to hiring criteria
  • Determine which candidates proceed to property interviews
  • Ensure background information complies with PENN Entertainment standards
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on strategy and resources
  • Consult with management on performance-related issues and concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality and provide superior customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Human Resources or related field from four-year college or university; or two to five years progressive experience in Human Resources with emphasis in Talent Acquisition; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent project and time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Technical knowledge of sourcing strategies including cold calling, competitive resources, networking, data mining internet tools, websites, and social networking
  • Current knowledge of Human Resources regulations, industry trends, practices, developments, and applicable laws
  • Experience implementing and maximizing the iCIMS applicant tracking system
  • Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
  • Ability to be proactive when working on tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws including Civil Rights, EEO, ADA, FLSA, State Racing and Gaming Commission
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
