About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies across Penn Foster Group brands
  • Expand audience reach, increase engagement, and drive measurable growth across priority platforms
  • Develop strategies to increase brand visibility and sentiment within LLMs and social search environments
  • Partner cross-functionally to optimize content for discoverability and accuracy
  • Own and evolve brand reputation management across social and digital environments
  • Manage proactive and reactive engagement in third-party spaces such as Reddit and forums
  • Guide engaging, high-performing social content with emphasis on short-form video and platform-native content
  • Partner with Brand, Content, and Creative teams on consistency, quality, and innovation
  • Scale creator and influencer strategy with the PR agency
  • Manage and develop the social media and community engagement team
  • Develop distinct social strategies for non-core brands across the portfolio
  • Establish performance tracking, social listening, and insight generation processes
  • Share actionable insights with Marketing, PR, Partnerships, and senior leadership
  • Maintain hands-on involvement in execution, testing, and campaign optimization
  • Evaluate performance data to refine strategies, improve efficiency, and scale successful initiatives
  • Report to the Sr. Director of Communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in social media, digital marketing, or brand strategy
  • Experience leading teams
  • Proven track record developing and scaling social media strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, and brand visibility
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of social listening, brand reputation management, and community engagement best practices
  • Experience with creator/influencer strategy and partnership management
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in LLMs, social search, and digital discoverability
  • Ability to translate emerging trends into actionable strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decisions and communicate performance to stakeholders
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and partners
  • High level of attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving digital landscape with a test-and-learn mindset
  • Experience managing multiple brands or business lines preferred
  • Must reside and perform work within the United States
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed
  • Employees are expected to be on camera during meetings unless extenuating circumstances apply
  • Successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening requirements
  • Completion of employment eligibility verification through Form I-9
