About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary media contact for at least five varsity sports, including at least one ticketed sport
  • Coordinate media interactions with athletes and coaches
  • Manage game-day statistical and media operations for home events
  • Travel as appropriate for team coverage and competitions
  • Manage social media output for assigned sports, including storytelling and graphics
  • Coordinate and oversee media responsibilities, interviews, website content, previews, recaps, rosters, schedules, features, and archives
  • Collaborate with coaches and team operations directors on social media content calendars and game-day coverage
  • Oversee work-study and internship programs and assist with onboarding and training assistants
  • Collaborate with marketing, graphic design, facilities, operations, ESPN+, JMI, and development teams
  • Coordinate promotions, ticket sales, student outreach, sponsorships, advertising, broadcasts, credentials, parking, and TV/radio needs
  • Travel on road trips with football and/or women's basketball when assigned, and for other events requiring on-site coverage
  • Handle media requests, in-game statistics, post-game interviews, statistical records, and record books
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Cover Letter and Resume/CV are required
