About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze donor relations activities and processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and enhancement
  • Support donor-facing content processes, including donor impact reports, acknowledgments, and letters of gratitude
  • Audit existing funds and maintain continuously refreshed records for endowed and term donor funds
  • Support stewardship reporting, analytics, outreach, and operational efficiency across student aid, research programs, centers, professorships, and faculty support
  • Gather, update, and disseminate fund information with Principal Gift, Development, and research program colleagues
  • Abide by University privacy standards while managing fund information
  • Assess donor relations activities across giving levels and School areas to identify stewardship opportunities
  • Write gift acknowledgments and impact reports during peak periods and for high-volume support areas
  • Monitor University and industry best practices in donor relations operations and processes
  • Liaise with University colleagues on effective use of the donor database and other current and future resources and platforms
  • Apply knowledge of principal, major, corporate, and foundation giving to supported processes
  • Balance individualized donor attention with broad donor-audience needs related to fundraising priorities
  • Exchange information and insights with Donor Relations colleagues to create a positive donor experience and support continuous learning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in fundraising and development processes, preferably with involvement in stewardship and donor relations
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and execution skills
  • Comfort analyzing data and utilizing it to inform strategy and operations
  • Outstanding detail orientation and perseverance in managing long-term fund audits
  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues across departments and navigate complex stakeholder environments
  • High level of discretion and respect for sensitive data and donor information safeguards
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent project management and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and track activities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Occasional evening and weekend work and travel required to support alumni and donor events
